I went to Seoul with 2 friends in February 2017. It was started from our random visit to Garuda Travel Fair in October 2016. We just spent our Saturday in the Fair and randomly bought return ticket to Seoul
Visiting Seoul in February was quite challenging for people from tropical country like me. The weather was still very cold. Daily temperature was about -4 to 1 degree celsius. You need to prepare winter coat, multi layer clothes, and glove to keep your body warm.
During our trip, we visited several popular tourist site like Namsan Tower, Myeongdong, Cheonggyecheon, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Gapyeong Tourism Area (Nami Island, Petite France, Garden of The Morning Calm)
Actually i am not a fan of KPOP or anything about Korea before, but after that trip, I Really Love Seoul! Seoul is beautiful city. It’s a mixed between ancient building and modern building with high technology. The public transportation is very good! We can easily transport from one point to another point with integrated subway. The bus is also good choice to transport. Information and signage is very clear for foreigner. We pay the ticket by a very useful card called T-Money. You can get it in convenience store in Seoul.
I’m really hoping that Jakarta and other city in Indonesia could transform into modern city like Seoul. The integrated transportation system, cleanliness, and discipline practices will make better life for citizen and make tourist comfort to visit Indonesia. Well, let’s support Indonesian Government to improve our beloved country to make it modern and integrated like Korea.
